About Us

Micah Group was founded in 1998 to perform environmental remediation services, and has completed projects across a broad geography. As a self-performing remediation contractor and environmental driller, Micah Group quickly advanced as a preferred turn-key contractor. These in-house abilities still support clients requiring petroleum storage facility compliance, environmental assessments, hazardous waste management, and environmental remediation.

Thru this established position, Micah Group expanded its service offering to include Building Health & Optimization and Energy Alternatives. Expanded services include energy audits, facility commissioning, HVAC evaluations/replacement, smart meter, and solar and green roof installations.

Health & Safety

Micah Group provides semi-annual internal and external training courses to keep employees informed of industry changes and new technologies. Micah Group staff regularly attends trade shows, conferences, seminars, training courses, and workshops to remain well informed on new technologies and concepts within their fields.

Our staff is trained in many areas including: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER, OSHA 8 Hour Annual Refreshers, OSHA10 Hour Construction Safety, EPA 8 Hour Asbestos Training, Radiation Training, and CPR and First Aid Training. Site supervisors are trained OSHA 8 Hour Supervisors, and have USACE Construction Quality Control training.

Insurance & Bonding

Micah Group Energy & Environmental maintains a standard $10 million corporate insurance, including Professional Liability and Contractor’s Pollution Liability Insurance. Additional coverage is available to meet specific contract requirements. Micah Group is fully bonded and insured to perform all contracted work and maintains a construction bonding line of $17 million. Micah Group maintains lines of credit appropriate to provide the working capital needed to complete contracted services.

Equipment

Micah Group maintains staff and equipment to self-perform most services. Equipment includes heavy yellow iron, vacuum trucks, vacuum trailers, bulk haul trucks, frac tanks, soil injection equipment, ground penetrating radar, thermal infrared imaging camera, and environmental field instruments. Additionally, strategic alliances with teaming partners allow for immediate response when large scale, short notice events occur such as natural disasters, large environmental spills or sever building safety compromises.
