Description
Micah entered
into a contract
with the US
Department of
the Navy under a
competitively
bid solicitation
to perform
closure on
regulated and
non-regulated
fuel tanks. The
contract was for
closure in place
of (54) UST’s.
The project
included the
following
activities:
1.
Pre-construction
meeting with US
Navy;
2. Coordination
with multiple
base offices;
3. Pump,
transport &
dispose of all
fuel product;
4. Excavate and
cleaning of
UST’s;
5. Collect soil
and groundwater
samples from
excavations;
6. Backfill with
select fill &
compaction;
7. Profile,
transport &
dispose of tank
residuals;
8. Site
restoration
(topsoil and
landscaping);
9. Regulatory
interface and
reporting.
This project
required daily
communication
with base
officials and
the final
contract value
was $80,000.
